Ahh. My dear friend James has kindly set up this new blog for me. Now for the mind-crunchingly difficult task of living up to it.
And unfortunately, two days in and I’ve already got a topic to complain about: my DSL provider has been down since late Monday, and with no word on when it’ll be back up again. Ever since I tried and failed to log on when I got back from work on Monday, I’ve been getting the same message from its Network Status page.
Patience I have no problem with. I am so patient I could fill a whole hospital with myself. But updates of some kind would be nice, wouldn’t they? As opposed to, you know, four full days of “We know there’s a problem and we’re working on it.”
Wednesday: “Technicians have determined that a duck-billed platypus has made its nest in our central router. The Humane Society has been called and we expect service to resume once the eggs have been safely removed.”
Something like that.
